Each Sunday in November and December we will be observing the Advent Season in preparation of the celebration of Christ’s birth.  We meet at 10am at Terry Fox Public School (30 Kerrison Drive West in Ajax) for a time of worship through music, prayer and Scripture.  Our Advent sermon series focus is “Unwrapping Christmas: Uncovering the True Meaning of the Season.”  It is an all-ages event, with a special Kids Zone program each week for children nursery-age through Grade 6.

We invite you our annual Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday, November 18 from 9am – 11am at Annandale Golf & Banquet Facility.  Enjoy a hot buffet-style breakfast, live music courtesy of our TSAHope Worship Team, Christmas carols sing-a-long, professional photo with Santa (emailed to you), door prizes and a small gift bag for children under 12 years of age.  Tickets are $10/adult and $5/children (4-12 yrs). Under 3 is free.  You must have a ticket to enter.  Purchase tickets at our Sunday Gathering, 10am at Terry Fox Public School in Ajax or by calling 905-427-7123.  Event sells out quickly!

The Salvation Army HOPE staff, volunteers and congregants will once again be walking in this year’s Ajax Santa Clause Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 25 at 6pm.  Watch for our participants wearing the familiar red shield!

We invite you to join over 400 participants in our annual Santa Shuffle 5K Run & 1K Elf Walk in partnership with The Running Room on Saturday, December 2 at the Abilities Centre in Whitby.  Funds raised support the local Salvation Army programs and initiatives.  For more information, including how to register yourself or your team, please visit www.santashuffle.ca

Don’t miss this year’s Children’s Christmas Pageant taking place on Sunday, December 17th at 10am at Terry Fox Public School (30 Kerrison Drive West in Ajax).  This year’s Pageant, “Winter Star,” was written by our very own James Dark, Youth Worker & Community Services Coordinator.  Festive refreshments included.

We invite you to our all ages Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Sunday, December 24th at St. Nedela Church (485 Bayly St West in Ajax) beginning at 6pm.  We will enjoy an hour of festive music, Scripture and prayer as we anticipate the coming of the Christ Child.

As part of our #TSAHope Advent Celebration “Christmas Unwrapped: Uncovering the True Meaning of Christmas,” we invite you to participate in our FUN Social Media Photo Challenge!  HOW? Each day beginning Nov 26 take a photo that has something to do with the corresponding word of the day. You can post that photo on either your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account – or all of them if you’d like. Just make sure you include the hashtag: #TSAHope in your photo post.  WHY? 1) To be intentional about being present in the simple things & events of the season. God is often found in the “ordinary.” We can fill social media with this truth! 2) To help build excitement for our celebration of Christ’s birth, including through fun happenings at #TSAHope and with family/friends. Follow along at facebook.com/tsahope, instagram.com/tsahope & twitter.com/tsahope.
