Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, all Salvation Army Sunday worship services across Canada and Bermuda Territory will be cancelled until April 30, 2020, as per Territorial leadership mandate.

We do invite you, however, to join us at Facebook.com/TSAHope each Sunday for a video sermon.

Children and parents are encouraged to visit Sermons4Kids.com where they will find 100s of Bible Stories with corresponding word searches, crossword puzzles, fill-in-the-blanks, colouring sheets and games to play at all. All can be printed at home.

Pastors Jason or Tammy Sabourin continue to be available for pastoral care and prayer, please call 905-427-7123.

Having spoken with Durham Region Health Dept and in consultation with The Salvation Army Headquarters, TSAHope Management will implement the following changes to our weekday community services at 122 Hunt Street Ajax, beginning Monday March 16:

1) EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE
Our front offices will be closed to the general public, but volunteer receptionist will continue to answer phone calls to book appointments. We will offer pre-packed bags of staple food items through the rear door of our building. Unique items needed will also be provided based on availability.
.
2) LEAP APPOINTMENTS
Diane Gauthier, Client Advocate, will continue scheduled LEAP appointments on Mondays.

3) NEW CLIENTS
Please call us at 905-427-7123 to make an appointment, as per usual.

3) PROGRAMS
Jumpstart, summer camp and other programs involving applications will be done over the phone on Mondays and Thursdays, 905-427-7123.

4) COMMUNITY LUNCH
Unfortunately we need to temporarily suspend our Free Community Lunch Program. However, we do know that there are clients who depend on this for meals so we will be putting lunch bags together consisting of granola bars, juice and a sandwich. These will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, distributed from the back entrance of our building.
.
5) DONATIONS
We continue to rely on your donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products/toiletries. These are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the back of our building, Mon-Thurs.
.
Our #TSAHope Management feels this to be the best way for us to continue to meet the needs of our clients, while taking into consideration their health as well as the health of our staff and volunteers. Thank-you for your kind understanding. For more information, please contact James Dark, Community Services Coordinator at 905-427-7123 Mon-Fri, 10am – 3pm.
